Dyeing wastewater is particularly challenging due to its high color intensity, high organic concentration, significant quality fluctuations, and poor biodegradability. Working Principle
The SUN EURO POLO dyeing wastewater treatment system utilizes a combined process flow of "pre-treatment + physicochemical decolorization + biological treatment + advanced treatment," with treatment capacities ranging from 50 m³/day to 10,000 m³/day, customizable based on the production scale and wastewater characteristics of individual dyeing enterprises. The system is suitable for dyeing wastewater from cotton, linen, silk, wool, and chemical fiber fabrics, including wastewater from desizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes. After treatment, the effluent meets national or local discharge standards for color, COD, and suspended solids, with some projects capable of achieving water reuse.
The core process principles are as follows: Wastewater first passes through coarse and fine bar screens to remove fabric scraps, fibers, and other larger suspended solids, then enters an equalization tank for flow and quality balancing. Since dyeing wastewater discharge is intermittent and variable, the equalization tank is designed with sufficient retention time to ensure stable operation of downstream treatment units. The balanced wastewater then enters the physicochemical pre-treatment unit, where coagulants (such as polyaluminum chloride and polyacrylamide) are added to coagulate colloidal dye particles and suspended solids into larger flocs, which are then separated in dissolved air flotation or sedimentation equipment. This step can remove 60% to 80% of color and 40% to 60% of COD. The pre-treated wastewater then enters an anaerobic hydrolysis acidification tank where, under the action of facultative microorganisms, large molecular refractory organics are broken down into smaller, more biodegradable substances, improving wastewater biodegradability while some dye molecules are reduced and decolorized. The wastewater then enters the aerobic biological treatment unit (typically biological contact oxidation or activated sludge process), where aerobic microorganisms further degrade organic matter with removal rates reaching 80% to 90%. For regions with particularly stringent color requirements, the system includes advanced treatment units after biological treatment such as ozone oxidation or Fenton oxidation, which completely destroy the chromophore groups of residual dye molecules through strong oxidation, ensuring effluent color meets discharge standards.

Fifth, controllable operating costs. Through optimized chemical selection and dosing strategies, chemical consumption is minimized while maintaining treatment effectiveness; energy-efficient aeration equipment reduces power consumption. Sixth, optional reuse water quality. For enterprises with water reuse needs, filtration and disinfection units can be added to enable effluent to meet requirements for workshop floor cleaning, landscape irrigation, and other reuse applications.
